Why we are building Ferra

Robot companies increasingly rent their robots out instead of selling them. Every robot they deploy is a machine they have to pay for up front, and raising equity for each one is slow and expensive.

Equipment lenders already finance trucks, aircraft and factory machines because they know what those machines resell for. Robots have lacked that price history, so most lenders have stayed away.

Ferra prices robots from used-robot listings, dealer sales and auctions, and uses those prices to arrange loans from lenders who finance equipment. Robot companies get their fleets funded, and lenders get a priced, documented asset to lend against.
